Kanye West and Irina Shayk 'still hot and heavy' despite cooling off rumours

Kanye West and his ex Kim Kardashian West shocked the world when they announced they had split.

But fans were even more surprised when the rapper was spotted on a romantic getaway with the model, who has Lea, four, with her ex Bradley Cooper.

Despite the pair being spotted laughing and giggling together as they took a stroll through Paris on Kanye’s birthday, the romance seemed short-lived and Irina was reportedly keen to "cool down" their relationship.

Whilst fans thought their romance was over, sources tell TMZ that the couple are very much on and they spent the Fourth of July together, enjoying a fancy night out at posh restaurant Mourad in San Francisco.

A source recently claimed to the New York Post's Page Six column that Irina was keen to "cool off" and just stay friends.

"She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him," the insider said.

"She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up in Paris with him.

"It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating."

Irina just went to Kanye's party as a pal but people automatically linked them together romantically.

"She went to his birthday party as a friend. There were 50 other people there," a source said.

"She doesn’t want to be linked with anyone right now."

Kim and Kanye called off their romance earlier this year but they continue to have an "amazing" co-parenting relationship with one another for the sake of their kids - North, eight, Saint, five, Chicago, three, and Psalm, two.

"I honestly don't think I would even say it here on TV. But it was not one specific thing on either part," the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star said.

"It was a general difference of opinion on a few things that led to this decision. We have an amazing co-parenting relationship and I respect him so much. I think we'll have... that was my friend first, first and foremost."

And Kim also opened up about her own childhood, after her parents - Kris Jenner and Robert Kardashian - split when she was just 11.

"There's nothing that I think parents would want more than to see, or even kids want more, than to see their parents together. I grew up and I lived that myself," she said.
