Kangana Ranaut Defends Ranveer Singh Amid FWICE Ban Controversy Over Don 3 Exit

Speaking at the trailer launch event of her upcoming film *Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata* on Tuesday, Kangana was asked to share her views on the controversy involving Ranveer. Responding with characteristic candour, she drew parallels with her own experiences in the film industry.

“You are asking me? I have been banned by everybody,” Kangana remarked with a smile. She went on to suggest that success often attracts criticism and opposition.

“When your stature grows, your enemies also increase. It is impossible for someone’s influence to grow without facing opposition. Ranveer Singh should perhaps think about how much he has achieved today that he has so many detractors. These things happen when you move forward in life. Obstacles are a part of success—you cannot always have a smooth journey,” she said.

Reflecting on her own career struggles, Kangana added that despite facing numerous challenges, she has continued to thrive professionally. “I have gone through a lot myself, and today I am doing well. So these things do not matter much. Eventually, everything will be fine,” she stated.

The Don 3 Dispute

The controversy stems from Ranveer Singh’s association with *Don 3*, the latest installment in the popular action franchise. After Shah Rukh Khan headlined *Don* (2006) and *Don 2* (2011), filmmaker Farhan Akhtar announced in 2023 that Ranveer would take over the lead role in the third film.

Reports of a fallout between Ranveer Singh and the makers of *Don 3* surfaced in late 2025. According to industry reports, the actor allegedly walked away from the project following the success of his film *Dhurandhar*, directed by Aditya Dhar.

The situation intensified when Farhan Akhtar reportedly approached FWICE, claiming that Ranveer’s exit had caused financial losses estimated at ₹45 crore. Speculation also emerged that Hrithik Roshan could replace Ranveer in the film, although those reports were later dismissed.

Subsequently, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer Singh after receiving a complaint regarding the matter.

Ranveer Singh Breaks Silence Through Spokesperson

In response to the developments, Ranveer Singh’s spokesperson released an official statement emphasizing the actor’s respect for the film industry and everyone associated with the *Don* franchise.

“Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding *Don 3*, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect,” the statement read.

The spokesperson further clarified that the actor does not wish to comment on the matter any further.
