KALYAN: Union minister Anurag Thakur on Monday expressed displeasure over the work being done under the Smart City Mission in Kalyan- Dombivli.
Thakur, who is on a three days' tour in the Kalyan Lok Sabha constituency to strengthen the party, on Monday along with PWD minister Ravindra Chavan and BJP MLA Ganpat Gaikwad held a meeting with KDMC commissioner Dr Bhausahed Dangade and other senior officials.
KDMC officials gave a presentation on the projects under way in the twin city by the KDMC as well as under the Smart City Mission run by the Centre.
Thakur expressed his displeasure over the bad condition of roads and other Smart City-related projects. Thakur told officials, "The roads' condition in city is very bad. It gives bad impression to those who come to the city. I am shocked to hear that Kalyan-Dombivli is a part of Smart City Mission. If we look at the other cities included in the Smart City Mission, then there are much better infrastructure projects, good roads, cleanliness and beautification across the city."
