Manchester United are tracking one of Europe's hottest prospects in 20-year-old Kai Havertz ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Despite Ed Woodward insisting United's transfer funds will be impacted by the coronavirus pandemic, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains determined to bolster his attacking options this summer, Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho the primary target as things stand.
However, with the English superstar valued over £100million, Havertz is viewed as a cheaper alternative, although the youngster is still valued at around £90million himself.
At such a young age, Havertz has already made 110 appearances in the Bundesliga for Bayern Leverkusen, scoring 30 goals and provided 24 assists.
The versatile midfielder has also earned significant praise from the likes of Didi Hamann, who likened him to a "young Michael Ballack", also stating he's the best player Germany have at the moment.
Havertz is equally proficient in a central role, on the wing or even further forward in attack and would provide United with an abundance of depth should he sign in the summer.
While Leverkusen will be desperate to keep hold of their star man, Havertz has just two years left on his contract. As stated, the majority of clubs are going to face financial difficulties in the impending future and a big-money sale may have become a more attractive proposition.
Levekursen come up against Werder Bremen on Monday night and Havertz will certainly be one to look out for.
