Justin Murray will continue as starting RT against Ravens

The Arizona Cardinals signed offensive lineman Jordan Mills this week, as starting right tackle Marcus Gilbert was placed on injured reserve with a torn ACL. Mills started every game the last three seasons at that position for the Buffalo Bills.

He will not start at right tackle for the Cardinals right now.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury told reporters on Wednesday Justin Murray, who started at right tackle in the season opener, would start this week.

Having Mills on the bench this week will give the Cardinals some comfort.

“Jordan has played a lot of football and started a lot of games, so that’s a comfort level for us to have somebody that’s played in games,” he said.

Will Murray continue to start or will Mills eventually make his way into the lineup?

That depends.

“I think we’ll see where Jordan is at,” Kingsbury said. “We like what we saw on tape, he’s very sharp football-wise. He’s picked things up quick, but we thought last week was a good start for Justin.”

Because it is Mills’ first week with the team, Murray might be the better option. It would appear they plan on him taking over at some point.
