Helen McEntee has announced that she and her husband are expecting their first child together.
The Minister for Justice confirmed the news on social media, posting a picture of her and partner Paul Hickey's Christmas stockings.
She told her Instagram followers: "It beginning to look a lot like Christmas.... Last Christmas as a duo though! #babyonboard #excited."
The 34-year-old, who married Mr Hickey in 2017, was flooded with kind messages after revealing the news.
"So so happy for you Helen! Congratulations!", one follow said.
Another joked: "Ah that’s great news Helen, delighted for ye! Get all your sleep in now, that’s the only tip I’ll give ye!"
Ms McEntee is the first ever Government Minister to be pregnant while in office.
