Jurgen Klopp provides early Liverpool team news hint ahead of Chelsea Premier League clash

Jurgen Klopp has insisted he will "definitely" make changes for Liverpool's Premier League clash against Chelsea on Tuesday night.

The Reds travel to Stamford Bridge on the back of a 4-1 defeat to Manchester City. Mohamed Salah had put Liverpool ahead in the first half but goals from Julian Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne, Ilkay Gundogan and Jack Grealish ensured a comfortable victory for Pep Guardiola's men.

Chelsea go into the contest having lost 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa, with the result proving to be the last of Graham Potter's tenure. Bruno Saltor will instead take temporary charge of the Blues and the Spaniard will be tasked with trying to get a result against Klopp's side.

During his pre-match press conference, Klopp was asked how his side will prepare for the clash against Chelsea given the tight turnaround between games. "We cannot work on the pitch (between games) but we have to show a desire for a reaction, 100%," the German said, as reported by Liverpool Echo.

"Short turnaround means I have no clue who I can line up. We give the boys as much time as possible to recover but there will be changes, definitely."

Klopp was also asked about the fitness of Luis Diaz and Thiago Alcantara, who have both returned to training after long-term injuries. However, the pair will not be fit in time for the clash against Chelsea.

"We still have to give him time," Klopp said on Diaz. He added: "We have to patient. I wouldn't say Arsenal is totally out the question but looks unlikely. Thiago, we'll see how he reacts."
