Jurgen Klopp delivers Sadio Mane injury latest after Liverpool win at Wolves

Jurgen Klopp admits Sadio Mane is likely to face a spell on the sidelines after limping out of Liverpool's win at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Mane pulled up clutching his leg shortly past the half-hour in the 2-1 Premier League triumph at Molineux on Thursday night.

The Senegalese underwent treatment on the pitch before limping off and heading straight down the tunnel.

Mane, who has featured in all bar one of Liverpool's 23 top-flight games this season, will undergo scans on Friday to ascertain the extent of the damage.

But Klopp expects to be without the 27-year-old for a period with the Reds facing three games in six days next week.

“I don't know the situation exactly,” said the Liverpool boss. “It's probably a muscle.

“He felt something, a hamstring. We don't know yet obviously. We have to wait. We will see.

“Shrewsbury next on Sunday, then West Ham on Wednesday then Southampton, that’s tough. And that is probably without Sadio, so we will see.”
