Jurassic Earth brings dinosaurs to life at Tatton Park Pop Up Festival this summer

Dinosaurs will come to life at Tatton Park this summer as it hosts a pop-up festival promising something for everyone.

Tatton Park Pop Up Festival includes 51 socially distanced events taking place between June and August.

Located next to the Tatton Park lake, the line-up includes family events, live music, tribute acts and Sunday Sessions.

Among the family events taking place is Jurassic Earth, billed as 'a unique, immersive dinosaur experience for all ages' - 'combining incredible animatronics, exciting performances and impressive photo opportunities'.

"This is an unmissable opportunity to walk with a Triceratops, roar with T-Rex, scream with a Spinosaurus and run with a Raptor!" says the website.

The events will work with each family or group getting their own private pitch with a canopy, deckchairs and access to the main stage and toilets.

A standard four-person pitch costs £104, plus £9.08 fees.

Jurassic Earth events run on Saturday, July 10, with the morning show 9.30am to 12.15pm and the afternoon one 1.30pm to 4.15pm.

Another event likely to be a hit with the kids is Milkshake! Live, taking place on Saturday, June 26. Milkshake! Monkey's Musical will feature his favourite Milkshake! friends.

Then on July 31, it's Brainiac Live - 'science's greatest and most volatile show with the Brainiacs delving 'fearlessly into the mysteries of science'.

For adults there'll be loads more on offer, from DJ nights including Judge Jules Live, Ibiza Symphonic and a Centreforce Radio takeover, to live music and shows from the Brand New Heavies, Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show supported by the Real Thing.

There'll be tribute nights with world-famous acts including ABBA MANIA, Sunday Sessions with new and emerging artists and themed entertainment and a closing night with Brutus Gold’s Love Train on August bank holiday Sunday.

The company behind the Tatton Park Pop Up Festival is Saving Grace Events.

Founder Rebecca Hartley said: “This summer we’re bringing music, fun and excitement to Tatton Park with a 10-week long pop up festival that really does deliver something for everyone. Tatton is a stunning location for live events and we have created a line-up that spans family events, live music, DJs, Sunday Sessions and much more.

"With Tatton Mere providing a gorgeous lakeside backdrop, the festival will create days and nights that everyone can remember forever.”

Each event can accommodate up to 1,000 ticket holders, with individual pitches accommodating up to six people. Food and drink will be available on site with luxury hampers available to order and VIP ticket holders given access to a private bar operated by the Menagerie restaurant and bar.

The event runs on various dates between June 25 and August 29. There will be no events on the week commencing July 19 due to the RHS Flower Show taking place at Tatton. For more details and to buy tickets, visit the website here.
