Julian Brandt 'makes transfer decision' amid links to Liverpool and Tottenham

Bayer Leverkusen attacker Julian Brandt could snub both of England's Champions League finalists in order to stay in Germany, according to a report.

Sky Sports cite their German colleagues when they claim that Brandt is expected to join Borussia Dortmund if he makes a move this summer, despite transfer interest from both Liverpool and Tottenham .

However, it is far from certain that Brandt will leave Leverkusen at all, with the 23-year-old Germany international prepared to stay at the club where he has two years left on his current deal.

That is considered more likely if Leverkusen qualify for the Champions League, which they can only do if they better Borussia Moenchengladbach's result on the final day of the season this weekend.

However it is also suggested that he would consider staying even if the club are in the Europa League next season.

Brandt is believed to be available for a release clause of just £21.5million, but has seemingly made his mind up to stay in Germany whether he makes a move or not.

Liverpool were initially linked with him in the summer of 2017, with Jurgen Klopp freely admitting he was his preferred choice for a new attacker ahead of Mohamed Salah, who he was eventually convinced to sign by his transfer committee team.

Tottenham were more recently linked with Brandt as they look to build on the squad that has taken them to this season's Champions League final.
