Judge Judy, 80, looks unrecognisable as she steps out with husband Jerry Sheindlin in LA

Judge Judy looked unrecognisable as she stepped out with her husband in Los Angeles.

The TV judge, 80, was snapped alongside her spouse Jerry Sheindlin, 89, as the pair were spotted leaving a lunch date on Monday.

Judy showed off her glowing tan from a recent getaway in the Bahamas for her 80th birthday in the "idyllic" Musha Cay alongside her family and friends.

A contrast from her strict courtroom attire, she kept things casual for her recent outing, looking very differing from her early days on TV.

The US court show arbitrator paired a light long-sleeve top with a pair of dark-wash jeans, finishing the look with a chunky leather belt and matching crossbody bag.

Her other half cut a sharp figure as he looked effortlessly chic in a buttoned-down black suit shirt, with matching trousers, mirroring Judy's casual attire with a pair of black and white trainers.

Speaking of her recent getaway, she told Fox reporters: "One could not have a better birthday than surrounded by the people you love who love you in an idyllic and unspoiled place."

It has just been announced that Judy has a new courtroom TV show in the works entitled Tribunal. It will air on Amazon's new service Freevee.

Slightly different from her hit-Judge Judy, which she reportedly earned $47million (£39m) per year making, it'll see a panel of three judges adjudicate real cases.

Judy is the show's executive producer and creator of the series on the former IMDB TV.

Her outing comes after she revealed Justin Bieber – who used to be her neighbour – was 'scared to death' of her following his 'foolish' drink-driving arrest in 2014.

They both had apartments at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills and Judy claims Justin used to ask hotel staff to make him aware of her movements.

It followed Justin's arrest for drink-driving in Miami, during a time Judy branded "foolish" and a "period before he grew up".

Judy says Justin would try everything to avoid her after his DUI arrest, including "paying door staff" to tell him when she was out.

He was seemingly dodging the TV judge after comments she made at the time.

Back in 2014, Judy said in an interview of Justin: "Being a celebrity is a gift. You could either treat it reverently or you could make a fool out of yourself.

"And he's doing a very good job of making a fool out of himself. I think it's sad. And nobody's going to remember that he was a marginal singer.

"But they're going to remember a young kid who had a chance to have it all and who is blowing it by acting like a fool."

It was after those comments aired that Justin began avoiding her back at home, Judy claimed.

Speaking to Access Hollywood, promoting season two of Judy Justice, Judy said: "I must have said something about [his arrest].

"I understood that he was paying the front door people to let them know when I was there, coming and going, so he wouldn't have to bump into me."
