Jude Bellingham shares vile racist abuse after confirming Borussia Dortmund transfer

Jude Bellingham has shared a tweet containing vile racist abuse directed towards the teenager after completing his transfer from Birmingham City to Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham, 17, played his last game for Blues on Wednesday night as they were beaten 3-1 by Derby at St Andrew's to end a miserable campaign.

But Bellingham's displays attracted interest from Dortmund and Manchester United, with the Bundesliga giants eventually agreeing a £25million fee with Birmingham.

A clearly emotional Bellingham sat alone on the pitch at St Andrew's after the game staring at the stands after coming through the youth ranks at the club.

"Whatever happens I am always a blue," he told the club's TV channel.

"This is my club and I love this club to bits. I hope I showed that in the performances while I was here.

"I hope I was fun to watch, I hope I was fun to interact with because I wanted to bridge the gap between the players and the fans. I'll only look back on Birmingham City with love and fond memories."

And while the response from Birmingham fans was overwhelmingly positive, Bellingham shared one tweet which he branded "disgusting".

The post, which has now been deleted, read: "Jude Bellingham the most overrated talent so useless only think about money. He black. Black people only think about money."

Bellingham posted a message to Birmingham fans on Thursday morning as he prepares to make the move to Germany.

He wrote: "Not the way I wanted to go out. Gave everything but wasn’t to be. I can’t thank @BCFC and the academy enough for what they’ve done for me over the last 10 years.

"It’s been an absolute pleasure working with all the staff and all my teammates during that period of time and owe them everything for the way they’ve helped me mature as a player and as a person.

"Whatever happens Birmingham City will always be my club and I will always be a blue.

"Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to show my gratitude to the fans, who I’ve build a strong connection with over the past year, but I’m sure they know how much I love them wherever they might be.

"I wish the club nothing but the best for the future. It’s not a goodbye it’s see you later. Keep Right On! Jude."
