Josh Gordon’s Instagram makes it clear he wants to come back to the Patriots

The New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions once again, but one person notably absent from the celebration was wide receiver Josh Gordon.

The talented yet troubled receiver who the Patriots got from the Browns after the Pats’ 1-2 start, left the team towards the end of the regular season to deal with mental health issues. Gordon finished the year with the Pats with 720 yards in 11 games with three touchdowns.

The team has already said that Gordon will receive a Super Bowl ring but if you thought Gordon’s time with New England was over, think again. At least, that’s what Josh Gordon is hoping based on his Instagram, which says “Super Bowl LIII Champion” and has been filled with pictures of his time with the Pats.

Take a look.

You may think it is wishful thinking on his part since the Patriots may very well be over dealing with Gordon and his issues, but the fact that Tom Brady responded to Gordon’s post and Julian Edelman liked another is quite telling.

I’m sure if Brady wants him back it’ll happen, but Gordon’s future in the NFL is, as always, murky as he needs to be reinstated once again.

Patriots fans, and players, will remain hopeful.
