Josh Allen is excited, he just can’t disturb his kid from watching Monsters University

Jacksonville Jaguars edge rusher Josh Allen was very excited to get his life-changing call from the Jacksonville Jaguars Thursday night during the draft, but he just wasn’t able to physically express it. When general manager Dave Caldwell contacted Allen, the young pass rusher told the media he was holding his son Wesley while watching Monsters University on his phone, which led to him having a calmer celebration than some of the other prospects taken Thursday.

It’s already looking like young Wesley Allen is going to be a star in Jacksonville as he was the highlight of Josh’s selection when he took the stage with commissioner Roger Goodell. He also got his own Jags cap, which may have even given fans a preview of his future 20 years down the road if he follows in his dad’s footsteps.

All that said, Josh, Wesley and Kaitlyn are all currently on the way to Jacksonville to be introduced to the media, so fans will get to see more of the young edge rusher and his family who already seem to be a fit for Duval. Heck, maybe young Wesley can even get a local commercial deal while at the facility because he certainly has the face for it.
