Jose Mourinho wins 10-0 in first game as Roma boss

Jose Mourinho began his reign as Roma boss with a spectacular 10-0 victory in a pre-season friendly against Montecatini.

The former Manchester United and Chelsea boss was sacked by Tottenham in April but was swiftly appointed by Italian outfit Roma on a three-year deal.

Mourinho, who made Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio his first signing earlier this week, saw his new side make a perfect start against their Serie D opponents on Thursday night.

Borja Mayoral scored a hat-trick, with Nicolo Zaniolo, Carles Perez, Gianluca Mancini, Riccardo Calafiori, Nicola Zalewski and Amadou Diawara were also on target in the behind-closed-doors contest, along with an own goal.

Mourinho has won 25 trophies during his managerial career but lasted just 17 months at Spurs, where he was sacked in the build-up to the Carabao Cup final.
