Jose Mourinho has stated that he's not going to make the same mistakes following his Premier League return.
The experienced manager was appointed as Spurs' new head coach on Wednesday morning following the club's decision to part with Mauricio Pochettino 11 hours earlier.
A major success in his first spell at Chelsea as he guided them to back-to-back Premier League titles, his second spell at Stamford Bridge and his time as Manchester United manager both ended on a sour note as he was dismissed.
Now back in the game after 11 months away, the 56-year-old has revealed that he is "relaxed, motivated and ready" to go again as he looks to guide the Lilywhites to major honours.
"I’m not going to make the same mistakes. I’m going to make new mistakes," he said. "I’m going to be stronger.
"From an emotional point of view I’m relaxed, motivated and ready and I think the players felt that these two days.
"I’m ready and I’m here to support them. In life you go through periods like this, where it’s not about myself, it’s about my players and my club."
Mourinho starts life as Tottenham head coach with a trip to West Ham on Saturday lunchtime.
A Champions League game against Olympiacos then follows before his first league game in charge at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium when Bournemouth visit the capital.
