Jose Mourinho has revealed why his managing methods are a hit with AS Roma compared to at Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Special One returned to Italy over the summer to take charge of the Stadio Olimpico outfit to a huge fanfare.
And his presence has already helped in the transfer window where they broke their club-record fee to sign Tammy Abraham from Chelsea.
The England international has been a hit straight away and earned a spot back with Gareth Southgate's England side while Roma fly in Serie A.
After seven matches in the league, they have won five and are in the top four with a Champions League spot the ambition for the season.
Eyebrows were raised when Mourinho took the job in the Italian capital - especially so soon after being sacked as Tottenham boss.
But the Portuguese coach has insisted he is back to his best after some tough years in the Premier League.
His time in charge of Tottenham turned out to be a failed gamble from club chief Daniel Levy, who sacked him a week before Spurs took on Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final.
At United, the fans turned on his methods while there were reports of disarray behind the scenes with players.
However, he did manage to win some trophies with the Red Devils including the Carabao Cup and the Europa League.
But a toxic third season saw his stock capitulate and he was sacked near Christmas time in 2018 before being replaced by the incumbent Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
And Mourinho has broken his silence on his bright start to life with Roma, insisting he is always learning on the job.

“I feel more like a coach today than 10 or 20 years ago,” Mourinho told Esquire Italia. “If a coach doesn’t improve it’s because he has lost the passion and has lost the mentality that helps him improve every day.
“It’s not a job where age is fundamental or the physical shape. It’s the opposite of the player. The experience can only make you better. I only think about the next match.
“All the games I have played and all the trophies I have won, those are in my pocket, and I will have time to look at them when I’m done. Now, I only want to think about the next game.

“I want to give titles to the club, because a club lives on titles, the titles increase the passion of the fans.
“I understood that the love for Roma goes beyond trophies, it’s an eternal passion.
“But the win is missing, and we are constructing a project to arrive. If we arrive with me, it would be perfect. If not, it will be beautiful to contribute to the construction of the future, everyone’s dream.”
