Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford has been celebrating after marrying childhood sweetheart Megan Davison in the Maldives.
A select number of guests witnessed the pair tie the knot in an outrageously stunning beachfront ceremony on June 18. England number one Pickford, 28, went to same school in the North East town of Washington as his new wife, who is two years younger. The pair currently have one child, a son called Arlo.
The ceremony was not in fact the official affirmation of their marital status however. The couple actually wed in registry office in Crewe back in 2020 after plans for their fairytale union overseas had to be shelved because of the Coronavirus pandemic. But it is clear that the loved-up couple were hell-bent on eventually getting the big day that they dreamed off.

Post a serious of beautiful photographs from the day on Instagram, Megan wrote: "Worth the wait for the most magical day with my soulmate. Introducing the Pickfords. 18.06.2022"
The post was recently shared on the Everton stopper's on Instagram page, quickly attracting over 62,000 likes from well-wishers. The pair said their vows in matching white outfits, with bride Megan wearing a stunning lace dress.
An overheard photograph of the ceremony, taken by a drone at the end of a perfect white sandy beach, appears to show only 13 guests in attendance. Having now wed his Washington true love, Pickford is now in another Washington on the other side of the Atlantic ocean, undertaking a preseason tour before the start of a new Premier League campaign.
