Jordan Henderson sends out three-word warning after Liverpool injury comeback

Jordan Henderson has declared that he is 'back' after being pictured in Reds training on Thursday.

Liverpool have felt the harsh brunt of a significant increase in injuries this season, with several of their players being ruled out of action for lengthy spells.

Captain Henderson has missed the last two matches - a 3-0 victory over Leicester City and a 2-0 defeat against Atalanta in the Champions League - due to a hamstring injury he suffered while playing for England against Belgium earlier this month.

However, the dynamic midfielder made a welcome return to training on Thursday afternoon ahead of Saturday's match with Brighton and Hove Albion.

After making his comeback, Henderson took to Twitter to send a message, as he wrote: "Back to business."

It remains to be full confirmed whether Henderson will be ready in time to make the trip to the south coast - but Jurgen Klopp will be hoping he is, as the manager continues to cope with an ever growing injury list.

Midfielders Naby Keita, Xherdan Shaqiri, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Thiago Alcantara are all expected to be unavailable for the match, meaning Henderson's return would be a very timely boost.

Liverpool will continue to also be without defensive trio Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joe Gomez.

Next up after that is Ajax at home in the Champions League on Tuesday evening at 8pm.
