Jordan Henderson is among the stars who have reacted to Daniel Sturridge posing for a picture with Kylian Mbappe on Instagram.
Sturridge got Liverpool supporters excited when the former Reds striker uploaded a snap of him and the Paris Saint-Germain star - who has been linked with a transfer to Anfield in recent weeks - to social media.
Alongside the post, Sturridge's caption read: "Serious baller K Mbappe. His mom said he used to do my celebration and he showed me so I did his too."
Reacting to the post, Liverpool fans responded in the numbers, calling on Sturridge to convince the France international to sign for the Reds in the summer transfer window.
But it wasn't just supporters who commented on the image, a number of footballers did so too.
Among them, former Reds and current Manchester City star Raheem Sterling wrote: "Eewww what a partnership that would be."
Liverpool captain Henderson also reacted to the picture by posting four applauding hand emojis in the comments.
Mbappe emerged as a surprise Reds target a few weeks ago, although Liverpool are yet to show official interest in the Frenchman.
Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi also poured cool water on the speculation in an interview with France Football earlier in the month.
He said: "Will he [Mbappe] still be at PSG next year? I am not 100 per cent sure but 200 per cent."
