Jonas Brothers announce Yankee Stadium concert: ‘We’ve been dreaming about this one’

NEW YORK — The Jonas Brothers hope to hit a home run at Yankee Stadium.

The singing siblings from Wyckoff, New Jersey, will perform their first-ever concert at the stadium in the Bronx on Aug. 12, they announced Tuesday.

The show is scheduled to take place exactly three months after the May 12 release of their sixth studio album, “The Album.” In an Instagram announcement, the Jonas Brothers said, “We’ve been dreaming about this one our whole lives.”

The concert continues a busy stretch in the Big Apple for the brothers. The pop band featuring Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas performed a five-performance residency on Broadway last month and is scheduled to be the musical guest on “Saturday Night Live” this weekend.

The Jonas Brothers rose to fame during the mid-2000s with hits including “Year 3000″ and “Burnin’ Up.” They broke up in 2013 and reunited in 2019, when they released their most recent album, “Happiness Begins,” featuring the chart-topping hit “Sucker.”

Their next single, “Waffle House,” comes out Friday. It will be featured on “The Album,” as will the lead single “Wings,” which came out in February.

Tickets for the Yankee Stadium concert go on sale to the public at 10 a.m. on April 14 through yankees.com, yankeesbeisbol.com and the official Ticketmaster website, organizers said.

The Jonas Brothers are the latest big-name act to host a concert at the current Yankee Stadium, which opened in 2009. Bad Bunny sold out a pair of shows there last summer, while Paul McCartney, Jay-Z, Eminem, Madonna and Justin Timberlake have also performed at the home of the Yankees.
