Jon Bon Jovi Recovering From Vocal Cord Surgery, Album Release

Rolling Stones hold a private album release party concert in New York

Bon Jovi fans eagerly anticipating the band's upcoming album release in June may have to wait a bit longer for a tour to accompany it. Frontman Jon Bon Jovi is currently recovering from vocal cord surgery he underwent in 2022, which has left him unable to commit to touring at this time.

During a recent interview, Jon Bon Jovi expressed his desire to hit the road for a tour next year, but emphasized that his recovery process is ongoing and he cannot provide a definitive timeline for when he will be ready to perform live again. The singer revealed the extent of his vocal cord issues, with one cord being as thick as his thumb and the other having atrophied to the thickness of his pinky. Fortunately, he underwent a successful surgery that involved a cutting-edge implant to rebuild his vocal cord.

Despite being able to sing again, Jon Bon Jovi is still working on regaining his full vocal capabilities to meet the demands of a tour, which typically involves lengthy performances multiple times a week. The band has not toured since 2022, just before Jon's surgery, and with Bon Jovi celebrating its 40th anniversary, the lead singer is determined to make a comeback.

The band's 16th studio album, titled 'Legendary,' is scheduled for release on June 7. Jon Bon Jovi described the album as a return to joy, promising a feel-good Bon Jovi experience for fans. Additionally, a Hulu docuseries titled 'Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story,' featuring past and current band members, is set to premiere on April 26.

Regarding former guitarist Richie Sambora, Jon Bon Jovi clarified that they are no longer in contact due to Sambora's departure from the band 11 years ago. Despite the lack of communication, Jon emphasized that there is still love and respect for Sambora within the band.

As fans anticipate the release of the new album, Bon Jovi has already unveiled the title track, building excitement for what's to come from the iconic rock band.
