John Stones explains the motivation fuelling Man City's Quadruple dream

John Stones says Manchester City will not achieve the Quadruple if they don't believe they can do it.

Pep Guardiola is still batting away any questions about winning all four competitions until the final few games at the earliest as he maintains he does not dream too far in advance.

The players, though, are relishing the prospect of achieving something that has never been done before. The Premier League is in their hands with five games to go, only Watford stand in their way in the FA Cup final and there are potentially four more hurdles to clear in the Champions League - starting with Spurs on Wednesday night.

"I don’t think a lot of things are impossible, that is the mindset of different people and if you don’t dream then you are not going to get anywhere near it," said Stones . "It comes from within everyone, we have this belief and ambition to do it.

Pep Guardiola questions Man City fans' desire to win Champions League ahead of Tottenham Hotspur clash

Former referee explains why Liverpool FC fans should not be complaining about Man City 'offside goal'

"It's like last season, 100 points had never been done before. We won the league quite early and still had the belief to go on and do it.

"I think it is something we are all dreaming of and all want to achieve at the club and as players and everyone involved at Man City. The Premier League is the competition we play week in week out for 38 games, the Champions League is I'm not sure how many games. They are both so important for our history as a club.

"It is one of those questions where the amount of games compared to the prestigious competition is something we have not got and want to put in the trophy cabinet. We are still on for the quadruple and that is the dream we are trying to achieve and fighting every day for."
