Joey Carbery's injury status is expected to be made clearer today.
Carbery, 23, suffered an ankle injury in last Saturday's opening World Cup warm-up win against Italy at the Aviva Stadium.
Afterwards Ireland head coach Joe Schmidt confirmed that the Munster out-half had not suffered a fracture but there are still concerns over Carbery's fitness ahead of Ireland's trip to the Algarve tomorrow for the start of an eight-day training camp.
An update on Carbery, and on whether any more players have been released from the 41-strong provisional squad, is due today.
Ireland face England - who named their World Cup squad yesterday - at Twickenham on Saturday week, before back to back clashes with Wales to round off the warm-up series.
