Joe Worrall blow as Chris Hughton names Nottingham Forest team to face Reading

Nottingham Forest have been dealt a blow as inspirational defender Joe Worrall was missing from the Reds' side to face Reading this afternoon.

The centre-back who has been in impressive form of late was forced to sit out of the clash which is down to a rib injury.

But Forest were boosted by the return of Scott McKenna who replaced Worrall in the heart of the back four and was also handed the captain's armband.

He was one of four changes made by boss Chris Hughton who reshuffled his attack from the side which lost to Watford with Joe Lolley and Sammy Ameobi restored to the starting 11.

The other change came in midfield where Cafu replaced Ryan Yates.

Otherwise the team had a familiar look to it with Brice Samba in goal, behind the back four of Cyrus Christie, Tobias Figueiredo, McKenna and Gaetan Bong.

In midfield were Cafu and James Garner.

In the attacking trio behind forward Glenn Murray were Ameobi and Lolley with Filip Krovinovic deployed as the number 10.

There was a boost for Forest on the bench with Lewis Grabban back available again after overcoming a hamstring problem.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Figueiredo, McKenna, Bong; Cafu, Garner; Lolley, Krovinovic, Ameobi; Murray

Subs: Smith, Mbe Soh, Grabban, Freeman, Mighten, Yates, Blackett, Knockaert, Taylor
