Joe Willock's classy response when he is told Newcastle and Arsenal both want to keep him

Joe Willock will 'see what the future holds' but the Arsenal loanee feels 'blessed' to have had the opportunity to play for 'wonderful' Newcastle United.

Whatever happens this summer, Willock will never forget the 111 days he spent at Newcastle after the Londoner enjoyed a dream loan spell on Tyneside.

As well as striking up a bond with Newcastle supporters and hitting it off with a number of his team-mates, including Jacob Murphy and Allan Saint-Maximin, Willock equalled Alan Shearer's club record of scoring in seven consecutive Premier League games.

Mikel Arteta has confirmed that Willock will return to the Emirates next season, but Steve Bruce has vowed to test Arsenal's resolve in the coming weeks.

Willock has stopped short of making any promises, himself, but the 21-year-old will sit down with his father, Charles, and his inner circle after returning from his end of season break in Spain.

"I'll see what the future holds you know," he told Match of the Day. "I'm just blessed to be in this position I am.

"I'm blessed to have the opportunity to play for this wonderful club and I'm happy it went so well but I'm happy to help the team. That's what I came here to do and I'm happy I did it."
