Joe Wicks has thanked his followers for taking part in his online 'PE with Joe' classes and helping him raise over £90,000 for NHS Charities Together.
Just last month, Joe launched his classes online in a bid to keep kids active while the schools are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
And today he revealed that thanks to the millions of people taking part, the money made from his videos will be donated to NHS Charities Together who represent, support and champion over 140 NHS charities working with the NHS to help it do more.
Joe said: "I’m super happy to announce that as a global community training together with #pewithjoe we have raised an incredible £91,256.38 for the @nhscharitiestogether fund ️ This is every penny so far raised from the 20 workouts we have done together. Thank you so much for taking part and helping raise all this money for a cause which I feel we can all be proud of. The great news is we can grow this number even bigger each week by coming back and tuning in again. Will I see you tomorrow at 9am? To all the NHS staff we LOVE and appreciate you️ #PEWithJoe."
On his first episode last month over 806,000 people tuned in and Joe was overwhelmed by the response. He said: " I've been blown away I cannot believe the numbers there was 806,000 households so individual computers, TVs and laptops streaming that so you can only imagine how many millions of people just took part in that, and the views that are going to come afterwards has blown me away."
Joe will be hosting the live class Monday to Friday at 9 am on his YouTube channel.
