Congratulations to longtime Browns standout Joe Thomas for his latest honor. Thomas has been selected for induction into the University of Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame at his alma mater.
The former All-Pro left tackle was about as big of a star as an offensive lineman can be during his college days. Wearing No. 72 for Wisconsin, Thomas won the Outland Trophy in 2006 and was a two-time All-American. He also lettered in track and was an All-Big Ten performer in the shot put.
All of that led the Browns to select Thomas with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. His induction into the University of Wisconsin Hall of Fame won’t be the last hallowed hall that recognizes Thomas’ greatness, either.
