Doctor Who star Jodie Whittaker is among a host of famous faces teaching lessons from Monday as part of the BBC’s new homeschooling programme.
Manchester City star Sergio Aguero will help youngsters learn to count in Spanish while Professor Brian Cox will teach science.
EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, a direct descendant of King Edward III, will provide a history class on Henry VIII for five to seven-year-olds.
Former Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls will deliver a maths class and Sir David Attenborough will take geography. Whittaker will “drop in” on the programme’s Bitesize Daily lessons.
The videos and podcasts, aimed at helping locked-down parents, also feature 200 real teachers.
BBC Children’s and Education boss Alice Webb said: “We said we’d be there for people through this crisis, and we meant it.”
Other celebrities taking part include singers Liam Payne and Mabel, as well as TV presenter Anita Rani and Strictly Come Dancing favourite Oti Mabuse.
Earlier this month bosses unveiled plans to support the education of "every child in the UK" and provide "rhythm and routine" for frazzled parents.
The programme includes BBC Bitesize Daily, airing on BBC iPlayer and the BBC red button, which will feature six 20-minute programmes each day, aimed at different age groups.
There will also be daily education podcasts and programmes on BBC Four on weekday evenings to support GCSE and A-level courses.
