Jodie Marsh admits she's broken celibacy twice - and NEITHER was 'worth it'

After years of disappointing sex, former glamour model Jodie Marsh took the bold decision to cut it out all together.

And since turning her back on bonking in 2009 she done a pretty good job of staying celibate - apart from two slips she massively regrets.

Why? Because, she says, the sex wasn't worth it.

The first time she climbed back on the horse was 2015 with her husband James Placido, but she quickly reverted to her nun-like state when they split after just eight months.

"I did six years celibate. Then I met [James] and it really wasn't worth breaking the celibacy for - that was for less than a year. [After that] I was celibate again for three years, broke the celibacy again for a few weeks, and it really wasn't worth it. I'm celibate again now," she told Dr Pam Spurr's podcast, Wham Bam It's Dr Pam.

"If I'd broken [the celibacy] and then had [amazing] sex, then it would have been great - but it wasn't worth it. Both times I broke my celibacy it wasn't worth it... I'd rather read my Kindle in bed."

She doesn't reveal who her second 'slip' was with, however in December 2018 she was rumoured to be engaged to Netflix director Wayne Lennox, although they split the following month amid claims he hadn't told her about the three children he has with three different women.

Jodie, 40, was also married Katie Price's ex, Matt Peacock, for three months in 2007, and was linked to Calum best, former TOWIE star Kirk Norcross and Blazin' Squad star Kenzie.

As to why she opted to give nookie the nudge, she says she was sick of sleeping with men who only wanted one thing.

"I chose this route because I think people jump into bed too quickly these days. I'd love to meet a guy who wanted to get to know someone before jumping into bed with them," she said.

"It's not lacking in masculinity at all for a man to be celibate - it's sensible and strong minded."

And a sex-free life certainly comes with perks for the keen bodybuilder,

"I get more done and I'm much more focused. I don't miss sex. I'd had too much meaningless sex with men who I knew didn't care about me as a person," she added.
