Jobs advertised at new Lidl store replacing Waitrose in Wollaton

New roles are being advertised ahead of the opening of a Lidl supermarket in Nottingham.

The new store is replacing the Waitrose in Trowell Road, Wollaton which closed in November last year.

Ahead of opening, applications for customer assistant roles are now being accepted with part time and full time positions available.

The rate of pay is £9.30 up to £10.50 per hour, which is dependent on experience.

Part time hours are between 10 and 30, with full time being 31 to 40 hours.

This could range from an early start of 5am to a late finish of 11pm, so flexibility is a must for taking on the role.

In its description of the positions, Lidl states: "This isn’t stacking shelves. This is feeding families."

Lidl was given planning permission for the new store in February.

A Lidl spokesman previously said: "The multi-million-pound investment details a sustainable store with 1,336 sqm sales area and will create approximately 40 new jobs for the local economy.

"The store will also feature facilities including an in-store bakery, customer toilet and ample parking for both cars and bicycles.

"We look forward to receiving a decision in due course with a view to opening before the end of the summer."

Interested applicants can find out more and apply on the Lidl website.
