Jimmy Moreland was one of Redskins’ biggest winners vs. Browns

Washington Redskins seventh-round pick Jimmy Moreland just won’t stop making noise since his arrival.

This trend continued against the Cleveland Browns, as Moreland broke up a touchdown pass and forced two fumbles, among other highlights.

He’s happy coming out of the performance, to say the least.

“Once I’m getting it going, once I get in a groove, I just feel energized,” Moreland said, according to Kareem Copeland and Les Carpenter of the Washington Post. “I feel up. I’m ready to go now. … It was very exciting for me.”

Leading up to the game, some had suggested Moreland reminds them of Kendall Fuller. He also took the time to have some standout practices in camp.

Moreland has had a cult following of sorts in Washington since his arrival. He’s a bit smaller (5’10”, 179 lbs) but already showing he can have an NFL-level impact, which will only increase the number of his supporters.

If Moreland can string a few more games together like this, he’s going to make the lives of those in charge of forging a 53-man roster rather difficult.
