Jimmy Kimmel roasted Donald Trump by way of a Love Actually spoof.

The late-night host unveiled a new version of the famous scene in which Andrew Lincoln’s Mark declares his love for Keira Knightley’s Juliet using cards.

In Kimmel’s version, which aired as part of Tuesday’s episode of his late show, the TV host is seen visiting Trump at the White House, much like Mark does to Juliet. Similarly to the film, Kimmel cues Trump to tell Melania Trump that “it’s carol singers”.

“It’s Christmas (and at Christmas you tell the truth,” Kimmel’s cards read, echoing Mark’s in the movie.

What follows, however, isn’t a declaration of love, but rather a medley of Trump’s actions throughout his presidency.

“You’ve told over 20,000 lies,” one card reads. (The Washington Post’s tracker of Trump’s lies currently sits at 23,035 false or misleading claims.)

Another card states Trump “paid only $750 in taxes” – a reference to a September 2020 New York Times report according to which Trump paid $750 in taxes the year he won the presidency, and again the following year.

Other messages unveiled by Kimmel in the skit include “You deny science”, “You tried to ban Tik Tok”, and “You tried to kill healthcare and democracy.”
