Jim Harbaugh helped Ann Arbor police remove a tree in the road during Michigan’s intense ice storm

A Good Samaritan on an Ann Arbor road during an ice storm Wednesday evening stopped to help local police remove a large tree that had fallen into the road. When the driver stepped out of his car, Officer Howard Cooper knew he recognized the man.

It was Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh.

Without missing a beat, the two men grabbed gloves and worked together to clear a lane for traffic to pass. Thanks to Cooper’s body cam, we were able to see Harbaugh in action. According to a Twitter thread by the Ann Arbor Police, it took the duo about 10 minutes to move the tree and get things moving again.
