Jets sign DL Bronson Kaufusi to practice squad, cut LB Jamey Mosley

Just days after releasing him, the Jets signed defensive lineman Bronson Kaufusi to their practice squad. As a corresponding move, the team cut LB Jamey Mosley.

Kaufusi was released from New York’s active roster on Oct. 4 when Conor McDermott was claimed off waivers from the Bills. He played in three games this season for Gang Green, registering three tackles and a half-sack.

Originally a third-round pick of the Ravens’ in 2017, Kaufusi has appeared in eight career games. He played in six games for the Jets over the past two seasons and spent time on the team’s practice squad in 2018.

Following Sunday’s loss to the Eagles, Henry Anderson underwent tests on his injured shoulder. He is considered week-to-week, so it makes sense that Kaufusi is back in green and white.

Mosley is the younger brother of Jets MLB C.J. Mosley. He signed with the Jets as an UDFA out of the University of Alabama and signed with the team’s practice squad following camp. He flashed during training camp, but a knee injury kept him out of the preseason.
