Jets rookie RB Michael Carter dealing with concussion

Michael Carter got off to a blazing start against the Buccaneers, breaking off a 55-yard run early in New York’s Week 17 loss.

However, the rookie running back’s day ended soon after that, as Carter exited the contest with a concussion. Robert Saleh confirmed the diagnosis after the game.

Carter was playing in just his third game back from an ankle injury that cost him a few games. The fourth-round pick ran for 118 yards against the Jaguars last week.

Saleh did not provide updates on LT George Fant or TE Dan Brown, who both suffered ankle injuries during the game. The coach expects to have more information on Monday.
