As part of the new schedule, there will also be four exclusive new routes to Izmir in Turke,; Kalamata and Lesvos in Greece, and Costa de Almeria in Spain.

When we took a look, there were plenty of return fares under £200pp, predominantly to Spain, the Canary Islands and Portugal.

The new flights and holiday packages will be launching in summer 2021, but you can already book on both Jet2.com and Jet2holidays.com.

Earlier this year, the travel giants launched a new travel insurance policy which includes cover for holidaymakers if the Foreign Office changes travel advice to their destination.

They had previously already offered policies specific to Covid-19 but the new policy will mean Brits are covered if new restrictions are put in place.

Under the FCDO cover, holidaymakers will be protected both before they travel, or if they are in the destination and the FCDO advises against 'all but essential' travel due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

  • During the pandemic countries may be subject to changes in travel restrictions. Always check the latest FCDO advice for your chosen destination before planning, booking, or going on a trip.
