Jesy Nelson brushes off Little Mix 'snub' as she shares 'wildlife issue' in L.A base

As her former bandmates said goodbye to their fanbase in London on Saturday night, Jesy Nelson seemingly focused on her new L.A life - sharing a slew of Instagram Stories as Little Mix sang for the final time before their hiatus.

The trio's swan song was available to stream across the globe for those unable to attend the gig at London's 02 Arena, but it appears Jesy wasn't one of the many to tune in for the emotional farewell gig.

Jesy has been lapping up the sun in California over recent weeks - after extending her stay on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean last month.

On Saturday night, the solo artist - who left Little Mix citing mental health reasons - took to her Instagram Stories to reveal her base in L.A has become a hot spot for local wildlife.

As Jesy shared a clip of a bird flapping around her apartment, her former bandmates broke down in tears as they tried to belt out some of their biggest hits for the final time.

As the one-time X Factor winners reflected on their decade together, ex- Little Mixer Jesy was seemingly absent from emotional montages and speeches - following her December 2020 exit from the group and subsequent comments.

However, it seemed Jesy was unbothered by the snub - sharing clips of herself laughing with a flatmate as she pondered why animals keep entering their home.

"Guys, why do we just keep attracting wildlife into our home?" Jesy told her followers, as a bird flapped around her scenic apartment.

"Noah thinks he's Dr Dolittle," the solo singer continued, as she and her flatmate tried to track down the animal.

"Why doesn't he want to leave? Maybe he likes the high life and thinks 'this is my crib now'," Jesy added.

Jesy called it quits with Little Mix in December 2020, nine years on from the band becoming the first group to win The Factor.

Since the seemingly amicable split, things have turned a little frostier over recent months - with a blackfishing row and admissions on both sides that the remaining Little Mix trio and Jesy no long speak.

"It is sad but honestly there is no bad blood from my side," Jesy told Graham Norton in October last year.

"I still love them to pieces and genuinely wish them all the best. I loved my time with them, and we’ve got the most incredible memories together but It’s just one of those things which needs to take time, so who knows.

"To me they are still the sickest girl band in the world," she added to the chat show host, before going on to perform her first - and so far only - solo single, Boyz.
