Jessie J has updated fans on her health following a recent cancer scare, revealing she underwent five breast biopsies ahead of a live performance — but chose not to cancel the show.
The 36-year-old singer shared a video from her set at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in London.
Though she admitted she was in “discomfort” during the gig, Jessie said she was determined to go ahead with the night.
She wrote in her caption: “I had 5 breast biopsies the night before this show. I was in some discomfort but so hyped to do it and I didn’t want to cancel.
"The more I watch this show back I can see my brain working in complete overdrive trying not to blurt it all out.
"Laughing and making jokes in hard times [handshake emoji] me. And I am in-fact under your bed.”

In between songs, , the star addressed the crowd in her signature unfiltered style.
“Anyone here from Joe & The Juice?” she joked early in her set, before reflecting on her debut album Who You Are.
“I know a lot of people called it Who Are You, which completely changed the meaning. Who are you? Where have you been? Pet peeve — people asking me, ‘Where have you been?’ Where the f**k have you been?”
She continued, “Being truthful in who you are — not your mates or your family or everyone else, but like what you love and who you are. What makes you special. That’s all I wanna focus on.”
Then, with typical candour, she added: “And my huge, perfect t**s. You know what I mean?”
On Wednesday, she revealed she has been diagnosed with “early breast cancer” - prompting an outpouring of support from celebrity friends.
The Price Tag singer said she plans on undergoing surgery following her performance at this month’s Summertime Ball.
The 37-year-old revealed the news in an Instagram video, saying she has spent much of her recent time “in and out of tests”.

“I was diagnosed with early breast cancer,” she said. “Cancer sucks in any form, but I’m holding on to the word ‘early’.
“It’s a very dramatic way to get a boob job. I am going to disappear for a bit after Summertime Ball to have my surgery, and I will come back with massive tits and more music.”
Jessie, whose full name is Jessica Cornish, said she announced her diagnosis publicly to help her process the news, and to show solidarity with others who are going through a similar experience.
Jessie welcomed her son, Sky Safir Cornish Colman, in 2023, with her partner Chanan Safir Colman, having miscarried in November 2021.
She has battled with ill health throughout her life, having been diagnosed with a heart condition aged eight, suffering a minor stroke aged 18 and having briefly gone deaf in 2020.
Jessie is scheduled to perform at Capital’s Summertime Ball at Wembley Stadium on Sunday June 15.
