
An assailant has stabbed six people at Jerusalem's annual gay pride march, according to the Israeli ambulance service.
The exact number of injuries has not been determined, but Israeli media is reporting that at least three people have been wounded.

It is also not clear how serious their injuries are.
Police spokeswomen Luba Samri said that a suspected ultra-Orthodox Jewish man had stabbed four of the marchers.

In the past, the march has been a focal point of tensions between Israel's mostly secular population, and the minority of ultra-Orthodox Jews in the area, who object to public displays of homosexuality.
At the pride parade in 2005, Yishai Schlissel, an ultra-Orthodox Haredi Jew stabbed marchers with a kitchen knife.

He was convicted of three counts of attempted murder, and was sentenced to 12 years in prison.
Rioting broke out in an ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood before the 2006 parade, but the day itself passed without incident.
