Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford deserved to be on the winning side against Tottenham.
That was the view of former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas, who was full of praise for the United striker after he scored both goals in a 2-1 win for the Red Devils.
Rashford opened the scoring early on with a fierce drive that Paulo Gazzaniga failed to keep out, while he struck the winning goal from the penalty spot to give United all three points.
And Jenas said Spurs could not handle the United forward on the night.
“I was quite critical of him and [Anthony] Martial on Sunday because there was a lack of movement, a lack of intent, a lack of hunger to score goals, whereas today he was an animal," Jenas said, speaking as a pundit on BBC programme Match of the Day.
“From minute one there was real intent about his game, he had the bit between his teeth. Spurs couldn’t handle him.

"He seems more comfortable on the left-hand side. I think Martial likes to be out on the left as well, so he finds himself in the centre, but today [Mason] Greenwood was happy through the middle and [Marcus] Rashford was happy in the channel.
“I love this penalty. He’s missed a couple but he stills steps up, says I’m the man, and he deserved to be on the winning team.”
Meanwhile, Spurs head coach Jose Mourinho spoke of the attacking threat posed by his former side, with the Portuguese boss admitting that for 30 minutes, Manchester United were "much better" than his side.
"They're not afraid to be with a defensive approach. They are not afraid to be at home, take their time and be in control of the emotions of the game," he said.
"Then lots of young people with good energy, with a good mentality. When they are winning matches they are comfortable in this situation, low block with a giant there dominating, or almost dominating in the air, fast counter attacking with Marcus [Rashford], [Daniel] James, Jesse [Lingard] and [Anthony] Martial when he plays.
"So I think the way they play, it's easier for them to play against the teams, better teams who want more of the ball and want to have the initiative of the game. I think they did well.
