Jermaine Jenas and Martin Keown disagree over Erik Lamela decisons during Arsenal vs Tottenham

Tottenham were left feeling hard done by on Sunday when they lost the North London Derby with Arsenal.

Spurs got off to a flyer, taking the lead in the first half through Erik Lamela and his mouth-watering Rabona goal, but by the time half-time rolled around it was 1-1 after Martin Odegaard found an equaliser.

The Gunners then completed the comeback with Alexandre Lacazette penalty that many felt shouldn't have been given with the French striker colliding with Davinson Sanchez in the box.

But that wasn't the only decision Spurs were aggrieved by with goalscorer Lamela, who was a first-half substitute, getting sent off with a second yellow for a flailing arm while on the ball.

The two yellow cards were examined on Match of the Day, and pundit Jermaine Jenas wasn't happy with the decision by Michael Oliver.

"I think the first one is harsh, I really do. I think the challenge on Partey, he wins the ball, we’ve got a situation in football where you can’t seem to tackle, there’s no contact allowed," he said.

"He comes from the side, he gets the ball through his back leg catches him but what does he do, you can’t chop your back leg off?"

Fellow pundit Martin Keown didn't have much sympathy for the second yellow, in particular, adding: "He doesn’t need to do this.

"It’s aggressive, it’s a straight arm, seven minutes after the first one, it’s unprofessional, he lets his teammates down, he shouldn’t get involved in that.

"He came in with the intention of winding up Arsenal players, he got involved with David Luiz, with Xhaka and if you look what he did earlier in the season, he got Martial sent off. He has to learn from this, I know it’s his first red card but he let his teammates down."

Jenas then jumped back in, replying: "I think you’re being harsh. People have that make up in them.

"He has this fire when he plays football. You had it too. It’s the first time he’s overstepped the mark. The first one, I didn’t think was a yellow card."
