Jermain Defoe shows Rangers love as he takes Ibrox into his home during lockdown training

Rangers veteran Jermain Defoe hasn't been slow in admitting he has fallen in love with the club during his time in Glasgow so far.

Having arrived at Ibrox in January 2019, he has endeared himself to the fans with his professionalism and the goals he's scored while deputising for Alfredo Morelos.

He's scored 25 goals in 52 games so far, with the majority of those appearances coming from the subs bench.

The 37-year-old signed a one-year deal, due to come into effect in the summer, to stay at Steven Gerrard's men on a permanent basis when his Bournemouth contract ends.

And he's shared another example of his love for Rangers with a video of him training at home during the lockdown.

He is kicking a ball about the back garden after doing some bike work and says into the camera: “So I can’t be at Ibrox right now, I’m going to bring Ibrox here.”

And as he runs away to kick the ball around, Simply the Best is blaring out from behind him.

The Tina Turner hit has been synonymous with Rangers for years and is used when they walk out for games, and is also heard on the team bus when they travel to games.
