Jeremy Clarkson's partner reveals pet 'problem' on farm and asks for help

Jeremy Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan has revealed they’re experiencing a major “problem” on the farm with their puppy.

The former Top Gear host, 65, and his longtime girlfriend’s fox red Labrador Retriever named Arya birthed a litter of puppies last month.

The couple gave away almost all of the young dogs but chose to keep one - Margaery.

Hogan revealed Margaery has been settling into life well at the couple’s 1,000-acre Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire and has been sharing videos of her doing tricks alongside her mother Arya.

However, at the weekend, Hogan explained that the young pup has discovered the joys of drinking pond water and will no longer drink from a normal dog bowl.

The Clarkson’s Farm star, 51, shared a video on Instagram of the pooch lapping from the edge of a huge pond with lily pads on the surface.

“Margaery, we have a problem. Ever since she’s discovered ‘the big water’ she’s upturned her, her mother’s, her aunt’s water bowls,” the former model wrote.

She appealed to her followers for tips on how to manage the unwelcome habit, adding: “Advice anyone? We are swimming here in the dog room.”

Clarkson revealed on July 27 that Arya had given birth - but revealed on the radio just days later that one of them had died.

Hogan confirmed the news on Instagram, writing: “Sad news this morning. Mr Grey has gone to fur and feather land.”

Last month, the former Grand Tour host explained that all of the puppies had found new homes and were leaving the farm.

He shared a sweet montage of videos showing the puppies saying goodbye to their mother as they left with new owners, set to the tune of James Blunt’s song Goodbye My Lover.

“So happy the puppies are going to wonderful families. But God it’s sad to see them go,” the motoring journalist captioned the Instagram post.

The farewell came after Clarkson revealed the farm had been locked down for at least two months due to a bovine tuberculosis outbreak among his herd of cattle.

In July, he announced that the farm had “gone down” with the infectious disease, bovine tb, from a pregnant cow.

“It's awful, it is awful. You have a test every six months on the cows and then you sort of become blasé, it's a hypothetical threat,” he told Times Radio.

“And then the vet looks up as he did yesterday lunchtime and said, ‘I'm really sorry this one's failed’. So that means we're now locked down and it's just dreadful, absolutely dreadful.”

Clarkson confirmed his adjoining farm shop has been “unaffected” by the closure and remains open for business as usual.
