Jeopardy! contestants struggled mightily with a 21st century sports category

To their credit, the contestants on Tuesday’s edition of Jeopardy! got two clues right — one referring to tennis’s U.S. Open and another dealing with Pittsburgh Steelers legend Ben Roethlisberger.

But when it came to three others in the category of 21st century sports? Well, it wasn’t great. Although we’ve seen some success in sports over the years, there have been some big fails with some others who whiffed.

Check out these three clues — one baseball, one college sports, one with a photo of a well-known NBA star — and see if you fare better than these smart people did on Tuesday:
