Jeff Hendrick set to complete Newcastle move this week

Jeff Hendrick is expected to complete his move to Newcastle United this week.

Ireland international Hendrick, 28, is a free agent after leaving Burnley in June at the end of a four-year contract.

Previously linked with Inter Milan and Roma, the Dublin-born midfielder is currently doing a medical with the Premier League club.

Hendrick played 27 times for Burnley last term - but didn't play after the Premier League returned from lockdown as talks about a new deal went nowhere. 

Newcastle boss Steve Bruce is keen to sign him to kick-start his summer recruitment campaign.
