Jeff Brazier seen for first time since Kate Dwyer ‘split’ as he battles heavy rain on Good Morning Britain

Jeff Brazier has been seen for the first time since reports emerged that he and his wife, PR executive Kate Dwyer, have separated after what has been described as a “year of hell.”

The presenter, 46, returned to screens on Tuesday morning for his regular ITV Daytime competition segment, broadcasting live from Reykjavík as part of the broadcaster’s Christmas prize draw.

Good Morning Britain hosts Ed Balls and Susanna Reid introduced Brazier via video link, where he remained upbeat despite battling driving rain and gale-force winds in the Icelandic capital.

“Morning! Talking about inclement weather, this is a very wet and windy Reykjavík right now but I'm sure that will change throughout the course of the day,” he told viewers.

“I'm here at the Perlan Museum which is renowned for its 360° balcony, where you have the best chance and the best view of the Northern Lights!”

Brazier carried on professionally despite the conditions.

He signed off the segment by urging viewers to enter the competition: “Give yourself the chance of having the best Christmas you've ever had with £130,000 in the bank. Listen, this weather is crazy, I need to go inside!”

Weather presenter Laura Tobin reassured him that the storm would pass as the day went on.

The appearance comes amid reports that Dwyer has moved out of their marital home and returned to her flat in Hackney three weeks ago.

A source told The Sun: “It’s been an incredibly stressful year for all of them. It’s been one thing after another… Kate has told friends she’s had enough.”

Brazier also appeared to hint at upheaval in a recent Instagram post, sharing the view from what he described as his “new home” in the countryside.

“I’ve escaped back to the countryside,” he wrote, referring to a “transitional time in all our lives.”

Despite the speculation, the presenter appeared in good spirits during his Iceland work trip, sharing photos of skating on an open lake and promising “more fun tomorrow.”

Dwyer has also been active on social media, recently sharing photos from a trip to Las Vegas, where she attended the US Grand Prix.

Captioning a picture from the event, she wrote: “Possibly one of the best days of my life.”

The couple began dating in 2013 and married in 2018.

They briefly separated at the end of 2022, citing lifestyle differences — with Dwyer enjoying a more social routine compared with Brazier’s preference for quiet family life.

Although they reconciled, the truce appeared fragile. Tensions may have surfaced earlier this year.

In June, Brazier’s younger son Freddy, 21, posted a TikTok listing things he “hated,” including “step parents,” alongside references to “family issues” and “overthinking.”

Brazier, who shared sons Bobby, 22, and Freddy with the late Jade Goody, raised the boys following their mother’s death from cervical cancer in 2009.

The Standard has contacted Jeff Brazier’s rep for comment.
