JD Vance warns Iran to ‘engage in good faith’ hours after ceasefire deal

  • Vance said that if Iran does not engage in good faith, they will learn that President Donald Trump "is not one to mess around," following Trump's earlier threats.
  • President Trump declared a "total and complete victory" for the agreement, which will see Iran reopen the Strait of Hormuz and led to oil prices falling below $100.
  • Both sides framed the ceasefire as a win, with Trump hailing it as a "big day for world peace" and predicting a new "golden age" for the Middle East.
  • Israel accepted the ceasefire between Iran and the US but clarified it "does not include Lebanon," as strikes continued in Tyre, while Hezbollah paused fighting and urged Israel to reciprocate.
