JD Vance got booed at Disneyland because it really is the Happiest Place on Earth, just not for him

When you bad mouth California, don’t expect them to welcome you with open arms. And JD Vance learned that the hard way when he tried to go to Disneyland. Living up to its name, it really is the Happiest Place on Earth (for everyone else).

Vance’s arrival into California was met with protests. According to The Independent, one sign read: “No family vacation while we deal with family separation.” In the past, Vance has spoken negatively about California, Disney as a company, and more, making his choice to vacation in Disneyland that much more confusing. I thought Disney had “declared war on America’s children,” JD.

In 2022, Vance tweeted his own thoughts on the Mouse, saying “Disney has profited off of government handouts for decades. It’s time for that to stop: no more copyright extensions or other handouts. Disney has declared war on America’s children. It’s time we fight back.” I guess his “fighting back” is going on Space Mountain?

The entire situation became a delightful mocking of Vance in the park and on social media. Especially when he went running on Tom Sawyer island for some reason.

Many took the chance to yell at Vance for even daring to come to California after the extensive ICE raids and anti-immigrant propaganda he has helped the Trump administration push. One X user wrote that while she was at Disneyland with her family at the same time, she took the chance to remind him that many in California and across the United States are against these ICE raids.

JD Vance doesn’t deserve to have a happy vacation with his family when he is part of the administration directly responsible for separating families across the country. These ICE raids have attacked so many and they are anti-American at the end of the day. So if that means that JD Vance gets booed while walking around Disneyland, good. He deserves it.
