Despite a disappointing end to his season due to injury, Jaylen Brown showed great improvement and leaps this season, which didn’t go unnoticed across the league.
Jaylen Brown finished sixth in the 2020-21 Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award voting, in which New York Knicks All-Star Julius Randle won the award, receiving 98 of 100 first-place votes.
Brown received one second-place vote and seven third-place votes from sportswriters and broadcasters across the league.

In 58 games this season, Brown averaged 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks, all career-highs but rebounds. Brown also shot career-high’s across the board, shooting 48.4% from the field, 39.7% from three, and 76.4 from the free throw line.
Brown earned his first All-Star appearance this season while also scoring a career-high 42 points on December 30 against the Memphis Grizzlies before matching that total a month later against the Philadelphia 76ers.
The All-Star was lost for the season after a torn ligament in his left wrist forced season-ending surgery.
